			<p>Originally called the Office of International Programs established in 1963 to
				coordinate and oversee the International Study Abroad programs. This program was
				reorganized in 1971 resulting in an apparent name change although the tasks of the
				office remained the same, coordinating programs with foreign student sponsoring
				agencies and universities. This program also appears to have encompassed NICSA
				(Northwest Interinstitutional Council on Study Abroad). The program underwent
				another reorganizing in the late 1980's resulting in the offices present day
				organization. </p>

			<p>Primarily correspondence, financial reports, and program brochures from 1971-1982
				related to study abroad programs in Latin, African, European, and Middle-Eastern
				countries. Some publications related to the International Institute of Education
				also included. </p>

			<p>This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing
				order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting
				performed by staff. </p>
			<p>Contains budget reports,publicity material, correspondence, publications related to
				the International Education Department's Study Abroad program. Organized by country
				and continent. </p>
