Professor Mark F. Jenkins worked at the School of Drama as the head of the Professional Actor Training Program from 1990 until his retirement and was also a faculty associate at the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies. He attended the University of Missouri from 1961-1965. He authored the play "All Powers Necessary and Convenient: A Play of Fact and Speculation", a docudrama on the 1948 Canwell hearings, and led two public initiatives surrounding the performance of the play in 1998 and 2002. Professor Jenkins was also involved in political causes on University of Washington campus such as the anti-Iraq war group Campus for Peace and Justice. He acted in and directed plays during his time as a professor such as "A Long Day's Journey into Night" in Vladivostok, Russia in 1999.

Draft scripts, lectures, research materials, promotional materials, videocassettes, posters, and related materials for the play, "All Powers Necessary and Convenient," by Mark Jenkins and subsequent All Powers Projects. The play was performed by the UW. School of Drama, February 1998 and was revised for publication in 2000 by the UW. Press. The All Powers Projects (1998, 2002) were two public initiatives led by Mark Jenkins that helped commemorate the 1948 Canwell Hearings through Mark Jenkins' play on the subject "All Powers Necessary and Convenient". The Canwell hearings led to the firings of several UW Professors and the shutting down of the Seattle Repertory Theater, and the All Powers Project worked to remember the victims of the hearing and promote discussions on censorship. This collection also contains materials on Mark Jenkins' career as a UW Drama Professor and his personal interest in causes such as Iraq War protests.

Also contains draft scripts, lectures, research materials, correspondence, and analog and digital media for Jenkins' other plays and television projects, including From Seasons Such as These and Red Earth, Gold Gate, Shadow Sky.
