Historical Note
Harry Amos Bullis (1890-1963) began working at General Mills as a mill-hand and eventually became president of the company in 1942 and chairman of the board in 1948. He received his degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1917 and served in World War I. Bullis was the recipient of seven honorary doctorates and was honored as the University of Wisconsin “Alumnus of the Year.”
