      <p>Most of the photographs in this collection were taken by Hack Miller, sports editor for the Deseret News.  Hack Miller covered a wide range of subjects such as, skiing, the Olympics, boxing, golf, basketball, football, fishing, hunting, rivers, army, Vietnam and more.  In Box 1 - Box 5 of this collection there are 1009 black and white photographs (8 x 10 or smaller), 10 color photographs, and 6 postcards.  Box 6 contains 654 black and white negatives, 32 color transparencies, and 23 contact prints.  Box 1 Oversize contains 2 black and white photographs and 1 color transparency.  All identifications included in this register are found on back of the photographs or on the envelopes containing negatives.  More information about Hack Miller as well as some of the individuals and places photographed can be found in Accn 1678.</p>
