This collection consists of drafts, correspondence, and other materials related to Bradshaw's work. Travel articles Bradshaw wrote with his wife, Vera, as well as articles she wrote alone, are included as well.</abstract>

  	<head>Biography of Henry E. Bradshaw</head><p>Henry E. Bradshaw (d. 1981) was an outdoor journalist who, throughout his long career, contributed to  "Field &amp; Stream," "Outdoor Life" and "Sports Afield," among other publications. Bradshaw, along with his wife, Vera Foss Bradshaw, (d. 2006) wrote more than 3,000 outdoor and travel articles. A native of Iowa, Bradshaw graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1931. Bradshaw served as president of the Society of American Travel Writers in 1976.   </p>

	 <head>Scope and Content</head><p>The Henry E. Bradshaw collection consists of the writing of Henry Bradshaw, articles Bradshaw wrote with his wife, Vera, and articles written by Vera alone. In addition to the articles are slides associated with travel presentations the Bradshaws gave together.</p>
  	<p>The largest portion of the collection is composed of outdoor journalism articles Henry Bradshaw wrote between 1943 and 1980. In addition to the articles, there is correspondence and other materials related to the articles' publication such as drafts with revisions. Articles Vera Bradshaw wrote alone, along with photographic slides the Bradshaws created for travel presentations, make up the rest of the collection.</p>

The articles are separated by those discussing issues related to hunting and those discussing issues related to fishing. In addition to Bradshaw's individual articles, travel magazine articles he wrote with his wife, Vera, and photographs taken by the two during their travels. The Bradshaws gave presentations about their travels to groups, and slides associated with those presentations are included in this series. </p>
