The Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU) serves as the goverment for the general student body of the university. The association was established in 1915 as the Associated Students of the State College of Washington but when the university changed its name in 1960 so did the association. In 1968 the system of student class governments was abandoned and the responsibility of the ASWSU was enlarged to encompass every aspect of student goverment. The executive branch of the association usually consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant.
The records include the correspondence and records of the Vice President of the Associated Students of Washington State University. The series dates from 1962 to 1967 and covers four vice presidents: David McGoldrick, 1964-1965; Roger Whitehead, 1965-1966; James D. Camp, 1966-1967; and, Duncan Carter, 1967-1966.
The records are arranged in a single series in alphabetical order by subject.
