      <bioghist encodinganalog="545">
    
         <p>Julian Stephen Marshall (1895-1982), C.L.U., was a long time resident of Spokane, Washington with great interest in Pacific Northwest history as well as in the Kiwanian and senior citizen activities of Spokane. Marshall was a native of Rapid City, South Dakota, received his Bachelor's in Mining Engineering from Oregon State University, and worked as a mining engineer for the Bunker Hill Mining and Concentrating Company in Kellogg, Idaho, before beginning a career in the insurance industry in Spokane. Marshall was named "Sheriff" of the Spokane Westerners in 1962.</p>
