"Nomenus, Inc. is a non-profit religious organization founded in 1984 to create, preserve and manage places of spiritual and cultural sanctuary, for Radical Faeries and their friends to gather in harmony with nature, for renewal, growth and shared learning."

"Since 1987, Nomenus has maintained a Radical Faery Sanctuary in Wolf Creek, Oregon. Originally envisioned simply as a place to host Radical Faery gatherings, Nomenus' eighty acre sanctuary in Wolf Creek has since evolved into the home of a small intentional community of Caretakers, and long-term visitors, as well as a site for shorter personal retreats and workshops."

"Nomenus also serves as a fiscal sponsor for other Radical Faery projects including Faerie Camp Destiny, a Radical Faery sanctuary in Vermont, and the Harry Hay Documentary Project."

Membership in Nomenus "is open to any self-identified Radical Faerie or their friend who agrees with the purposes of Nomenus, and who signs and presents to an officer or other authorized person a membership form."

The administrative offices that make up the governance of Nomenus include "four officers, the President, the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Secretary and the Corresponding Secretary, as well as a number of Sanctuary Caretakers, all of whom [have agreed to serve] for six-month or one-year terms, by committee."

Governance also includes many committees, councils, and circles, including "Building, Communications, Community on the Land, Finance, Gathering Planning, and Long-Range Planning." Four times yearly, Nomenus holds "Great Circles [which are] board meetings open to all members to discuss and decide on big picture things like overall policy, big expenditures, building things at the Sanctuary, and officers."
