The WSU Physical Plant was originally known as Buildings and Grounds dating back to at least 1908 when a superintendent was appointed to the department. The department underwent a name change to Buildings and Grounds in the 1960's and a reorganizing in the 80's. The department is responsible for small scale construction and remodeling work around the WSU campus, as well as day to day maintenance.

Items mostly contain project reports and catalogs related to the WSU Energy Plant Replacement Facilities from 1987-1999. Also includes manuals related to the WSU Chemistry Building.

This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting performed by staff.

Box 1 contains a products catalog for the WSU Energy Plant Replacement Facilities as well as project binders on the WSU Energy Plant Replacement Facilities. Box 2 contains Volume 1 and 2 of the WSU Mechanical Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the Chemistry Building.
