photographs from Seattle's Danish community and a prominent Danish-American
builder in the early twentieth century
Clint Hyde received his Masters in Scandinavian Studies from the
University of Washington in 1975. He completed an internship the last summer of
his program in the Library Archives and Records Center that included outreach
to the Danish community in Seattle. Hyde collected ephemeral materials from
some of those he met, including a 1924 Danish song pamphlet and the Danish
language book "Kong Hans Ved Stillehavet," from 1930 about Hans Pederson.
Materials related to the work of Clint Hyde on the Seattle Danish
community and Hans Pederson, a prominent Danish-American builder in the early
20th century. Includes correspondence, notes, drafts, manuscripts, and articles
by and about Clint Hyde in English and Danish; unidentified miscellaneous
photographs and negatives; early pamphlet in Danish; and articles on Hans
Pederson.
