The Walter and Hays Band was formed in 1985 in Salt Lake City, Utah and performed until 1993. Band members Walter Gregory, Tony Summerhays, Cory Brown, and Dan Stephensen were best known for their 1988 novelty song, "Mormon Rap."

The song was written by Walt Gregory, engineered by Glen Neibaur, and recorded at Ken's World Best Studio. Formed in 1985 in Salt Lake City, Utah, The Walter and Hays Band performed at national and local live and radio venues until 1993. This audiocassette has been digitized and is available to listen to on compact disc.
