            <head>Biography of Grace Shinell</head><p>Grace Shinell was a feminist author and journalist. She published an essay titled “Women's Collective Spirit: Exemplified and Envisioned” in <emph>The Politics of Women's Spirituality: Essays by Founding Mothers of the Movement</emph> published in 1994. Shinell contributed to the journal <emph>Heresies Quarterly</emph>, a feminist publication on arts and politics that was dedicated to the topic of “The Great Goddess.”</p>

            <head>Scope and Content</head><p>The collection contains advertisements, newsletters, news clippings, pamphlets, periodicals, reports, and books all regarding women (organizations, workshops, centers, abortions and other related subjects). Also includes a letter to Shinell from feminist activist Anita Murray, 1973.</p>
