Husky Oil Company, founded in 1938 by Glenn E. Nielson in Cody, Wyoming, specialized in oil refinement and asphalt products. Husky purchased the Frontier Refining Company in 1968 and held reserves in Canada and the Phillipines. Marathon Oil Corporation purchased Husky in 1984.
Collection documents the business operations of Husky Oil Company and its predecessor company, the Frontier Refining Company. The collection includes scrapbooks (1941-1965) on the Frontier Refining Company; and subject files (1938-1964, 1970, 1984); annual reports (1951-1982) and miscellaneous printed material on Husky Oil Company, including its purchase by Marathon Oil Company in 1984.
