      <p>The American West Center at the University of Utah is involved in a nationwide effort to preserve the stories of men and women who witnessed the events of World War II, and is responsible for the oral history project, "Saving the Legacy: an oral history of Utah's World War II veterans."</p>

      <p>Saving the Legacy collection contains items donated by World War II veterans in conjunction with their oral history interviews, conducted by the American West Center, located in the collection "Saving the Legacy oral history project" (ACCN 2070).</p>
