			<p>Miles J. Dresser was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, and graduated from North
				Central High School in 1953. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1957 from
				Linfield College in Oregon, and his Ph.D. in Physics from Iowa State University in
				1964. He returned to the Pacific Northwest in 1963 as a Professor of Physics at
				Washington State University, where he served on the Science, Math, and Engineering
				Education Center advisory board, as a member of the Board of Directors of Pacific
				Northwest Association of College Physics, and president of the Washington Section of
				American Association of Physics Teachers. Dr. Dresser received the College of
				Science Excellence in Advising Awards in 1995, and from 1999 to 2001 was the Boeing
				Distinguished Professor of Mathematics and Science Education. Since his retirement
				from WSU in 2001, Dr. Dresser has served as an Emeritus Professor in the Department
				of Physics.</p>

			<p>This collection contains papers of Dr. Miles J. Dresser, Professor of Physics at
				Washington State University, between 1966 and 1999. The collection primarily
				consists of research materials on physics from Dresser's time as a graduate student
				and as a WSU professor. This collection also contains the paper related to Pacific
				Northwest National Laboratories as well as Dr. Dresser's teaching materials. </p>
			<p>Preliminary Inventory:</p>
			<p>Box 1: Papers related to physics research, including Dr. Dresser's graduate course
				notes, binders, and correspondence, as well as documents pertaining to the
				Department of Physics at WSU and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratories,
				between 1966 and 1999. </p>
