The Book Shop's records consist of their newsletters, promotional materials, newspaper clippings, and information about the store's co-owner, Jean B. Wilson, as well as a procedure manual written by Nancy Stringfellow, a long-time manager of the store.
The Book Shop was a long-time bookstore located in downtown Boise, which first opened in 1927. Jean B. Wilson starting working at the store in 1962, where she eventually became its owner. The Book Shop closed in September 2000, and Wilson passed away in 2001. In 2004, after Wilson's death, the Log Cabin Literary Center dedicated a reading room in Wilson's honor.
