      <p>Waldo Dingman had photography studios in Iowa, South Dakota, and Seattle, Washington. He moved to Ventura, California, in the 1910s.</p>

      <p>Collection consists of 12 black and white photographs taken by Waldo Dingman at the 1905 Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition in Portland, Oregon. The photographs primarily depict the grounds and buildings, including the bandstand, the U.S. Government Buildings, the Washington Building, the Agricultural Palace, and the Shoot the Chutes amusement ride on Guild's Lake. A few images show unidentified visitors to the exposition.</p>
