Wells (1828-1921) was an early Mormon pioneer who left her home in Massachusetts for Nauvoo, Illinois in 1844. In 1846 she moved on to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she was very involved in the LDS Church and various social organizations, including the National Women's Suffrage Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was appointed the 5th General President of the LDS Relief Society by Eliza R. Snow in 1910. She was also the National Woman's Suffrage Association's vice-president for Utah in 1874. The collection consists of photocopies, and the original diaries are at Brigham Young University. <emph render="bold">No reproductions can be made of any material.</emph>
