         <p>Tape recorded interview covering the years 1915-2001, taken on August
		  27, 2001; transcript</p>
         <p>Mrs. Lowen talks about her early life in Seattle, and her family. She
		  desribes her childhood, her father, her education, and obtaining her degree in
		  Social Work from the University of Washington. Mrs. Lowen describes her social
		  life, meeting her husband Walter, and co-founding Temple Beth Am. She talks
		  about her involvement with the National Council of Jewish Women and Harborview
		  Hospital, as well as becoming a docent at the Seattle Art Museum. Mrs. Lowen
		  discusses her husband's business- Indian Arts and Crafts.</p>
