			<p>Dr. James Jewell is a professor of History at Northern Idaho College in Coeur
				d’Alene; his focus is military history. His paper was written partially as an
				exemplar for his History 290 course on writing within history. </p>

			<p>In May of 2020, John Andrew Bartruff’s granddaughter donated several of his
				war-related books to the archives, where they were individually cataloged. These
				include "600 days' service : a history of the 361st infantry regiment of the United
				States Army", the two volume "Forward-March!", and the five volume "Source records of
				the great war". </p>
