Field notes, writings on anthropology, poetry, correspondence, subject series, 1972-1982.

Research notes by a late UW grad student for his Ph.D. dissertation on kinship systems. Although the raw data gathered in his field notes covers Northwest tribes, espcially the Makah, as well as tribes outside the U.S., his dissertation "A Stochastic Model of Clan Systems" does not have a geographical boundary. No specific tribe is mentioned. A xerox copy of his collected poems is at end of Box 6.
