This collection consists of a single item with a couple of inserts: A bound "Planter's Register" volume printed by The Planter's Register Company in Roanoke, Virginia. In it an unidentified Yakima Valley farmer recorded the particulars of the business. Scattered throughout the 200-plus page volume are entries regarding: dates of haying, harvesting, killing frosts, and livestock pasture rotation; 1905 corn storage totals; hired labor records for at least a dozen men and women; 1908 corn and barley harvest amounts; veterinary bills; livestock sales records including hogs, horses, and cattle; and farm goods and services expenses.
