      <bioghist encodinganalog="5450_">
         <p>Lydia McCutchen (May 18, 1876 - September 17, 1966) was born in
		  Illinois. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1902 and later attended
		  the University of Washington from 1912 to 1913. After her graduation, she
		  worked as a librarian for the University of Washington Libraries. She retired
		  from the library in 1947.</p>
