         <p>Dr. David Youmans held faculty appointments with the College of Agriculture and the Department of Rural Sociology at Washington State University, serving as a Rural Development Specialist. Dr. Youmans received his doctoral degree in Education from the University of the Free State.</p>

         <p>The collection consists of two volumes of professional papers from 1980 to 2002 relating to David Youmans' extension work, including articles, reports, seminar presentations, and speeches.  One volume consists of shorter works by Youmans dealing with international markets and agriculture, as well as local outreach.  The second volume includes longer works by Youmans about the foreign trade of agricultural products.</p>
