Tape recorded interview conducted by Meta Buttnick Kaplan and Myron
Freyd on 20 Jul 1977.

Louis tells the story of how his father, Morris Soriano, and his
uncle, Issac Soriano, left the Isle of Rhodes penniless and worked their way to
America and then to New York. They used their knowledge of the fruit business
to get jobs in Seattle and Bremerton. Louis tells of his father's love for
Bremerton and of his upward mobility in business and real estate. This is a
good secondary source account of the life of a Jewish family in a small town
with few Jews and of a rise to wealth through hard work and the opportunities
offered in America.
