  	<head>Biography of Herman Stein</head>
      <p>Stein, a composer and arranger, worked with various orchestras during the 1930s and 1940s. He was a staff composer for Universal Pictures from 1951-1958, where he wrote music for numerous motion pictures including the Ma and Pa Kettle and Abbott and Costello series, "Creature from the Black Lagoon," "Destry," "It Came from Outer Space," and "The Incredible Shrinking Man." Stein also composed music for various episodes of the television series "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea," "Lost in Space," "Daniel Boone," and "Gunsmoke."</p>
