The Oscar Lewis papers contain correspondence between Lewis, the secretary of the Book Club of California, and the author Caroline Wenzel,about her commission to write an essay for a lithograph of Sacramento. It also contains a copy of the essay, titled "Sacramento, Beautiful City of the Plains."
