Myer R. Wolfe was born in 1918. He received his bachelor degree from the University of New Hampshire and his Master of Regional Planning degree from Cornell University in 1947. Wolfe joined the faculty of the College of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Washington in 1949. During the next 24 years, he served the University in several capacities, including: chairman of the Department of Urban Planning, 1957-1967; director of the Urban Design program, 1973-1975; and dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, 1979-1983. He was appointed emeritus in 1983.
