The collection consists of two individual sets of materials, totalling approximately 2000 images. One set appears to
originate with the college of Veterinary Medicine. A significant quantity deals with
groundbreaking, construction, and dedication of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and
Animal Disease Biotechnology Facility, as well as visits by Betty White. These
materials seems to be in the 1980s to 2000s range, and are mostly photographic
prints, with a smaller portion of negatives and slides. The second set contains
materials originating with Dr. Gordon Keown, consisting of slides, negative strips,
and five reels of super 8 film. These materials appear to date from the 1950s and
1960s. They appear to deal with his equine research, treatments, and teaching, and
require evaluation as to archival value.
