         <p>Courtney Owen Cameron (1902/1906-1960) was an American author of crime and suspense novels (sometimes referred to as mysteries), and westerns, who often wrote under the name "Owen Cameron."</p>  
      </bioghist>

         <p>Collection (1943-1960) includes correspondence, manuscripts, books, scrapbooks and miscellaneous materials.</p>
         <p>The correspondence is separated into incoming and outgoing sections. Incoming letters are arranged alphabetically by last name or title (1944-1959). Outgoing letters are arranged by date, 1952-1954. There are over 300 pieces of correspondence. </p>
         <p>Novel length manuscript material contains unpublished works and drafts of different versions, and is organized by title. </p>
         <p>Short story manuscript material consists of unpublished stories, and some titles include multiple drafts, rejection letters, and are organized alphabetically by title. The paper finding aid lists titles of all the novel and short story manuscripts. </p>
         <p>There is one folder each of untitled short stories, novel fragments, short story outlines, and short story fragments. 
Miscellaneous material includes personal reflections, notes for stories, and a bibliography.</p>
         <p>Tearsheets are organized by title of story and the paper finding aid includes publisher and date information for each tearsheet.</p>
         <p>There are also nine published volumes, and three scrapbooks (1943-1952) that contain tearsheets, agent and editor correspondence, reviews, and fan mail </p>
