The Oregon Daily Emerald (ODE) is a student-run independent daily campus newspaper at the University of Oregon. Founded in 1899, the paper is published five days a week during the school year and weekly during the summer; and is distributed throughout campus and the surrounding community and online.
Publishing a campus newspaper since 1900, the ODE was incorporated in 1971, at which time it became independent of the University. The Oregon Daily Emerald Publishing Company, Inc. (ODE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public benefit corporation operating on the campus of the University of Oregon.

The collection contains photographs, negatives, and slides, assignment ledger, ODE issues, minutes, reports, correspondence, computer tape (HP 3000 system tape) and computer printouts, and office files.
