         <p>The Oregon Daily Emerald (ODE) is a student-run independent daily campus newspaper at the University of Oregon. Founded in 1899, the paper is published five days a week during the school year and weekly during the summer; and is distributed throughout campus and the surrounding community and online. </p>
         <p>Publishing a campus newspaper since 1900, the ODE was incorporated in 1971, at which time it became independent of the University. The Oregon Daily Emerald Publishing Company, Inc. (ODE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public benefit corporation operating on the campus of the University of Oregon. </p>
