      <p>William Budge was an early convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Scotland who served a mission in England and Europe from 1851-1855. He later journeyed to the United States and went to Logan Utah where he was made Stake President. He served as president of the European Mission, and later as the Logan Utah Temple's second president.</p>

      <p>The William Budge papers [photocopies] contain Budge's Mission diary from his 1851-1855 LDS mission in England and Europe. Also included in the collection are letters to William Budge from prominent LDS Church leaders. Newspaper clippings mentioning Budge's life and works are also included in the collection.</p>
