      <p>Radical labor organization formed in Chicago in 1905 by the Western Federation of Miners, other labor groups, Eugene Debs and Daniel De Leon. They chose to use a strictly non-political approach and to organize the disenfranchised. Post war suppression weakened the organization, but it still exists, but with few members.</p>
