  	<head>History of Screen Writer</head><p>"Screen Writer" magazine was started in 1945 by the Screen Writers Guild. Its editor was Dalton Trumbo. The magazine combined articles about technical writing with political issues. Trumbo resigned after nineteen issues, but the magazine was named a communist publication by the House Un-American Activities Committee and ceased publication in 1948.</p>
