    <p>John E. Anderson was an early childhood education psychologist. Born in Laramie, Wyoming, he attended the University of Wyoming where he earned his undergraduate degree and went on to complete his doctorate in psychology at Harvard University. Anderson served as president of the American Psychological Association in 1943.</p>
