The Social and Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC) at Washington State
University was created in 1968, when WSU president Glenn Terrell identified a need
for the campus to gather accurate and reliable information on the current attitudes

The collection consists of publications of the Washington State University Social and
Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC), circa 1986-2010. They appear to primarily
be three types of materials: Data Reports, which are extensive data without
analysis; Technical Reports, which are data and analysis of survey results, and
simple Reports, which are smaller summary documents. Most have an identification
number of the form YY-XXX where YY is the last two digits of the year of the
publication, and XXX is a three digit number indicating order of publication in that
year.

As this is Dr. Don Dillman’s collection and much of his career focused on creating
and improving surveys, many, though not all, of these deal with that topic. Many,
though not all, of the publications are ones Dillman was involved with.
