			<p>Keith Hoofnagle is a Washington State native who grew up in the Puget Sound area.
				After high school, he attended the Burnley School of Art (now the Seattle Art
				Institute), and he continued his studies between 1960 and 1970 as an art major at
				Washington State University. He left WSU to join the National Park Service, where he
				worked as a visual information specialist until his retirement in 1994. A prolific
				cartoonist, he is the creator of The Story of Linda Lookout, a history of fire
				lookouts told through cartoons, and Rangeroons, a recurring comic strip published in
				newsletters of the National Park Service and featured in other NPS publications.</p>

				material. Includes correspondence with Washington State University professor Ruth
				Slonim (with references to Little People of the Palouse, a work of art he created
				and gave to her), and his WSU roommate Hal Rolph; cartoon drawings; WSU memorabilia;
				Hoofnagle publications.</p>
