      <abstract encodinganalog="5203_">Plans related to the sternwheel steamboat Harvest Queen, originally designed by John Gates. They include a side view; a deck plan; a plan of the cabin, texas, and pilot house; and a lines plan taken from a model by Gates. It is unknown whether these plans are original or are later replicas. Also included in the collection is a photocopy of a Harvest Queen plan dated August 1900, showing top and side views of the steamer.</abstract>

      <p>Collection consists of plans related to the sternwheel steamboat Harvest Queen, originally designed by John Gates. Plans include four sheets on waxed linen, with photocopy versions of each. These plans consist of a side view; a deck plan; a plan of the cabin, texas, and pilot house; and a lines plan taken from a model by Gates. These plans are stamped "Oregon Historical Society - Portland, Oregon / from collection of L. C. Hosford."; it is unknown whether they are original or are later replicas. Also included in the collection is a photocopy of a Harvest Queen plan showing top and side views of the steamer, with some areas on the top view labeled "New work." Handwritten text on the plan reads: "OR &amp; N Co. [Oregon Railway and Navigation Co.] ship yard August 1900 / P. Carstens."</p>
