			<p>Joseph W. Hungate (1882-1971) graduated from the State College of Washington (later
				Washington State University) in 1902. He received an M.S. degree at Cornell
				University in 1910, and later was the Head of the Applied Science and Arts
				Department at the Eastern Washington College of Education (later Eastern Washington
				University). In 1903 he married Winona Terpning of Dayton, Washington, and had five
				sons. </p>

			<p>Beaver Creek Camp was a summer camp in Priest Lake, Idaho. The camp was organized and
				owned by families of Washington State College faculty members, staff, and
				administrators. The camp was originally founded by College President Wilson Compton
				in 1947 when he and his wife, Helen, bought 52 acres of land. The land was then
				rented out to members, who were faculty or attendees of the State College of
				Washington.</p>

				(nee Terpening). The typescript contains notes on a visit they made to the State
