  	<head>History of the Morrison-Knudsen Company, Inc.</head><p>The Morrison-Knudsen Company, Inc. was incorporated in 1923 in Boise, Idaho. Along with a consortium of companies, known as the Six Companies, Morrison-Knudsen built the Hoover Dam. It was involved in construction projects throughout the U.S. West and South America, including work on the Imperial Dam in Utah and in Yosemite National Park. The company also worked on naval construction projects during World War II.</p>

	 <head>Scope and Content</head><p>The Morrison-Knudsen Company, Inc. records consist of correspondence and other materials related to the construction of the Hoover Dam. Subject files, including correspondene for other construction projects are included as well. In addition, there is financial information, company memos, and personal correspondence for H.W. Morrison, one of the company's founders. Other company members have correspondence in the collection as well. </p>
