The bulk of the album is comprised of photographs of two men engaged in wilderness activities including wood gathering, campsite setup, outdoor cooking, hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. The album also includes extensive landscape photography, much of it featuring mountainous forest terrain after a recent forest fire. One photograph appears to feature the south face of Mount Hood, placing the photographers near the route of modern State Highway 26. Other photographs depict preparation of outdoor gear, the front of the Estacada, Oregon train station, travel by wagon, and an unidentified family. Also included are portraits of the album's two primary subjects.
