            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Edward B. Ferguson was born in 1947 to Barbara and Earl Ferguson. He began skiing at the age of six, and was teaching skiing at Bogus Basin, Idaho by 1962. He attended Boise State University from 1968 to 1971. Known  as "Fast Eddie," Ferguson had a career in competitive skiing and was particularly known for his . Between 1972 and 1979, Ferguson created "Airborne Eddie's" Freestyle Ski Camps, where he taught "Freedom with Responsibility," a philosophy that emphasized safety, to over 4,000 freestyle skiers. Ferguson was a board member of the International Freestyle Skier's Association, where he contributed to policy. After retiring from skiing, Ferguson moved to Angel Fire, New Mexico, and then to Chelan, Washington, where he operates a realty company.</p>
