Daryl E. Jones, former provost and professor of English at Boise State University, earned his Ph.D. at Michigan State University in 1974 with a dissertation on the evolution of the dime novel.
These papers, contained in one box, consist of a few pieces of correspondence and other material relating to his research. Also included are copies of literary magazines from Michigan State University and Texas Tech University with contributions by Daryl Jones.
This collection accompanied a large donation of dime novels and other pulp fiction from the late 19th and early 20th centuries that was donated to Boise State University by Professor Jones in 2001. Consult an archivist for a bibliography of that collection.
