         <p>Collection contains legal files regarding oil, coal, gas, silver, sugar, and mining companies.</p>
         <p>The files reflect Deneffe's interest and investment in mineral and petroleum prospects, mainly in the Western United States. Some of the companies involved were Alice Mining Co., Buffalo Mine (Grant County, OR), Wyoming Western Oil Co., Husky Coal Co., John Day Basin Oil Co., Mon-O-Oil Corporation, Maxim Electronics of Oregon Co., St. Helens Consolidated Mining Co., and Western Mining Development Co. </p>
