			<p>The Affirmative Action Office has been present on WSU's campus since at least the 1960's. The office aimed to correct  racial injustices on WSU Campus and the mistreatment of minorities and women , and encourage their employment and involvement on WSU's campus. </p>

			<p>This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting performed by staff. </p><p>Items are filed mostly into subject matter folders, but many documents remain loose and unorganized. Box 1 holds files related to international programs from 1980-1981 as well as promotional material related to courses and jobs available. Box 2 contains plans on implementing Affirmative Action policies related to Vietnam War veterans. Also contains a self evaluation related to Affirmative Action. </p>
