History of Western Energy Alliance
Western Energy Alliance was a non-profit trade association dedicated to working with stakeholders across the region, including the public, federal, state, and local policy makers; regulatory agencies; the media; the business community; allied trade associations; civic organizations and others on all issues affecting the western oil and natural gas industry. Western Energy Alliance was created in 1974 as the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States (IPAMS). They represented independent natural gas and oil related member companies engaged in all aspects of environmentally responsible exploration and production of oil and natural gas in the Western United States.
Scope and Content
Collection contains financial documents, correspondence, contracts, bylaws/articles of incorporation, meeting agendas and minutes, legal documents, newsletters, video, and photographs regarding the operations of the Western Energy Alliance.
There are no access restrictions on the materials for research purposes,
and the collection is open to the public.
