      <p>Jane Elizabeth Lee Butler was born 11 August 1875 in Panaca, Lincoln County, Nevada. She attended Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah, at the age of 17. She married William Butler in 1900 and worked as a cook, bookkeeper, and doctor's assistant. After the death of her husband in 1945, Elizabeth moved to California where she lived with a daughter until her death in 1963.</p>
