This collection includes bound volumes of the annual reports of county extension agents for the Agricultural Extension Program at the State College of Washington, alphabetized by reporting county and separated into multi-county volumes. These reports detail the specific activities of each county agent in their areas of responsibility. Included herein are daily activity logs for the county agents and field reports on their farm management studies and demonstrations. Especially notable in this voluminous collection are the detailed daily activity logs that describe the activities of each county agent to the day and time conducted. These activities range from lectures on a variety of topics that carried local importance, the efforts of the agent at outreach, education, and experimentation, as well as failures, successes, and general characterizations of the extension effort on a base or ground level. These notebooks provide a detailed and expansive look at outreach efforts by the State College of Washington and show the evolution of the Washington State Agricultural Industry.
