<p>There are 20 slides in this set, numbered 1 to 21 (slide 19 is missing). The sheet of slides were found tucked in the booklet, "The Mormon Trail Fort Bridger to Salt Lake Valley", by the UTAH CROSSROADS Oregon-California Trails Association from October 1994. A photocopy of the first page of this booklet is included in the collection, with the original returned to the <extref href="https://archiveswest.orbiscascade.org/ark:80444/xv01025" show="new" actuate="onrequest" role="text/html">Jack Shapiro papers (ACCN 1849)</extref> in the Manuscripts Division of Special Collections. </p>
<p>Though stored by Jack Shapiro in a booklet about the Mormon Trail, the slides depict a July 1975 field trip taken by the Mormon Westernes to the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in Montana. The slides depict landscape views of the monument, images of signage, and undientified members of the Utah Westerns interacting with gravestone-like stone monuments dedicated to the 7th Cavalry and other United States military participants in the June 25-26, 1876 Battle of Little Bighorn.</p>
