The Eastern Washington Regional Health Council was an entity of the Eastern Washington Health Services Agency (EWHSA). The EWHSA served communities of eastern Washington and north Idaho through the development and maintenance of numerous medical facilities and educational programs.

This collection contains records for the Eastern Washington Regional Health Council, dating from 1970 to 1987. It consists of papers and publications pertaining to: the Spokane Birthing center, prenatal and neonatal care, heart disease and cardiac surgery, nursing homes, radio therapy, dentistry, pharmacy, hospital utilization reports, patient origin studies, health surveys, extensive records for health systems plans from 1982 to 1987 including copies of plans from other agencies, health related workshops, government policies and regulations, grant proposals and reports, financial records, by-laws, EWHSA legislation, and Washington demographics data. The collection also contains correspondence between eastern Washington hospitals and various health agencies, as well as incoming and outgoing correspondence with government departments and officials. It also includes audiovisual media and a collection of printed materials (reports, manuals, newsletters).
Collection must be reviewed by MASC staff for patient information prior to use by researchers.
